This position will report to the Translational / Biomarker Lead. This position can either be based in our offices in Seattle or Remote (US).

As a condition of employment, Zymeworks requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 and provide verification of such.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support logistics and tracking of clinical PK, ADA, PD, and biomarker samples between the clinical sites, central laboratory and testing facilities.
  • Obtain, analyze, reconcile and interpret reports from Tracking vendor, EDC databases, central lab databases, and specialty lab databases to align data into trackers.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Pharmacology / Clinical Development / Biomarker / Clinical Operations / Data management colleagues regarding designated biosamples.
  • Review and provide input to clinical study protocol and laboratory manual for sample collection requirements and alignment with the SOW, study plans and company policies.
  • Oversee clinical trial supplies and assay critical reagents related to biospecimen collection, processing, shipment, and storage as well as maintenance of associated tracking information.
  • Organize and plan meetings and provide agenda and meeting minutes as needed.
  • Budget projections for sample analysis to stay within specified contracted limits.
  • Apply and adhere to ICH/GCP, biostorage procedures, bio-sample management best practices and ethical guidelines.

Qualifications and Experience

  • BA/BS degree in life sciences, related field, or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working on clinical studies in the biopharma, academic, clinical / diagnostic laboratory
  • Familiarity with biospecimen management, sample processing best practices
  • Ability to assimilate technical information quickly
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to identify problems and propose solutions
  • Detail oriented, with solid organization and time management skills
  • An ability to work collaboratively as a member of a cross-functional team
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple activities and demands simultaneously; rapidly adjust to changing priorities and work effectively under pressure
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, MS Excel, Smartsheet, Spotfire, Tableau
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
